What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching and therapy are two different things. Therapy is a medical model and therapists are trained to work with people suffering from mental illnesses. They focus on people’s past, trying to find the root cause of their problems and heal them.

Coaching is a wellbeing model. It is designed to help individuals achieve their personal goals and bring more joy and fulfillment into their lives. It starts with the present, looking at your future. It happens in the here and now. It can connect you to your unconscious mind, so you can use what you learn about yourself to create a brighter present and future.

Please note that I am not a psychotherapist, and I do not provide psychological advice. If you are struggling with past emotional issues, depression or psychological trauma, I highly recommend that you discuss with a psychotherapist.
